The Høvel base collects shavings as you sharpen. The rich walnut provides an extra layer of protection for your desk and can display your Høvel when not in use. Machined from a rich and dense walnut, this base is resilient and sturdy for a lifetime of use, and looks great on any desk. 

Please note the base does not include the Høvel, the Hovel pencil plane is sold separately.
